Snap scroll is a bit too touchy, how to fix?

I implemented a snap scroll so users immediately get taken to the next section but it is a little too snappy. If I scroll too hard it will take me to the bottom of the page, is there a way to edit the CSS so no matter how aggressive the scroll is it only goes to the next section?
