Editing new site design before taking it live.

Hello,

I own and operate several sites built in squarespace 7.0 and am looking to do complete overhauls on some of them in the near future in 7.1. I operate a small team and keeping design decisions private and reviewing them internally before taking them live is important.

In the past we would normally install new templates, make site-wide design changes, save that template as an installed non-live site option, review for feedback,  approve, then replace our existing site template and take the new design live.

I've run into a roadblock with the new updates, because I can't seem to figure out a system to make this overhaul, save, review process work while also not disturbing the live site.

We also use this process for some client work, so finding a solve is particularly important.

Sorry if this has been addressed previously. Any insights would help!

If you are building a new site using Squarespace 7.1 then it will be a completely separate site with completely separate content. None of the changes you make on 7.1 will disturb the live 7.0 site. When your new 7.1 site is ready you'll move the primary domain from the old 7.0 site to the new 7.1 to make it live.
