MaddieJK
Site URL: https://www.museartterrehaute.com Hello there! So I'm a new business owner, and we just purchased our POS system (Square Register). Unfortunately, Square Register is not currently compatible with existing SquareSpace commerce, so I'd have to code it into our website. Has anyone else had this issue, and been able to successfully connect the two? Thanks! Maddie Link to comment
sayreambrosio
I've never set it up so that the inventory in Square commerce syncs with the store on SQSP but a possibility is to use payment buttons from Square, but that will take you outside the site if I understand correctly. If you want your online store to share the same data as your POS system, you'll need to do one of the following: Build your commerce website with Square instead of Squarespace. Run two completely separate systems (Square for POS and Squarespace for online), manually add the products to each system and then synchronise the inventory levels using a third party tool like Trunk. The reason I'm asking is because customer service said you can incorporate it via coding. Thus I'm here Link to comment
paul2009
They are probably referring to the 'Square Buy Buttons'. These allow you to show a button that will take customers directly to a Square checkout. You'll find more detail about this on the Square website here: https://squareup.com/help/gb/en/article/7068-add-a-square-checkout-button-to-your-website Personally I don’t recommend them as they aren’t very flexible or feature-rich.
