Givnish
Site URL: https://www.mcgheegivnish.com/contact-us We added an embed code block on this page, https://www.mcgheegivnish.com/contact-us and we were able to edit the page for a couple of days. But when I try to edit the site now the page grays out and doesn't allow me to make any changes or click on anything. I need to click the back arrow to get out. In talking to support they provided the following answer. Thanks for your patience! So after taking a closer look at your site, I could confirm the same behavior on my end, and it seems that the code you’ve added to your embedded block on the Contact page is causing this issue on your site. Troubleshooting code falls outside our scope of support, so we can’t pinpoint the exact issue with the code. However, when I copy and pasted the code onto a test site, I was able to replicate the same issue there. This indicates that the code is causing or contributing to the grayed out editing on your site. I've attached an image of what the screen looks like when I click edit on the body. If I click edit else where on the page it works fine. Link to comment
christyprice
You can put your site in "safe" mode to temporarily disable added code. To do that append /safe to your URL when you are logged into your site: It would look something like https:://your-builtin-domain.squarespace.com/config/safe After you've removed that code block you can get out of safe mode by clicking the blue button at the bottom of the page. christyprice.com 🇺🇸 Austin, TX US ✅ For Web Designers: Squarespace Client Process Checklist.
