Changing headline title card opacity and text color

Hello, I am attempting to override the Headlines title card used as a banner by changing opacity and changing the title text color and text body color.

Add to Design > Custom CSS

body.homepage .slide-content.list-item-card-background.list-item-rich-animation {
    background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.95);
}
body.homepage .slide-content.list-item-card-background.list-item-rich-animation h2 {
    color: red;
}

Unfortunately that didn't do anything. 😞

Can you add & keep the code? We can check it again easier

Added the code. The changes only show up in the preview and not on the actual site in Chrome and Safari and after I cleared cookies and restarted. Odd. It just doesn't show the changes on the actual interface.
