Funky images on videos page (members area)

Hello,

The "video page" seems rather limited in design features and I would need some help and troubleshooting with this. 

First of all the images on this page are not 16:9 ratio which is weird, but we found a fix for that with some custom css. Now they are the usual 16:9 video aspect ratio. 

But when linking videos through vimeo to this page the images are cropped off strange and turning up as bad quality.

There is no way to add a custom image to these when using vimeo/youtube linked videos. Which again is strange. 

Could someone help me out how we can get images on the videos page to look normal.

BTW, the images where being cropped strangely even before the 16:9 CSS code.
