Sorry not sure what that means or where can I find that info? Im brand new to Squarespace.

If you are brand new I'm going to assume that you are on 7.1. But if you would like to check, you can go to Design in your menu on the left and if you see a section called Template near the top you are on 7.0.

With 7.1 there is no way to change a template because they are all based on the same one just with different demo content.

If you haven't purchased a plan yet you can simply create a new site and start over. If you have a premium plan already you can wipe everything out of the site you are working on and start fresh that way or if you need the demo content you can create a new one and then reach out to support on the best way to move the paid plan over. I would actually check with them first before building new if you have a premium plan already as the process to do that may have changed recently. I know in the past I have created a new site and had to cancel and have them refund my original purchase. I did have to have a premium site active before they would do it though.

I purchased a site and didn't do anything with it except to put in the title of my website. I've had some health issues since then (early in November was when I purchased the Squarespace Website Builder) and now I see that there actually IS a website for podcasts. Are you (or anyone) telling me that because I let a website go dormant for just one month (due to illness), I have to now PAY FOR that "non" use of one month and CANCEL my subscription and buy a new subscription?  I'm astonished!!  I'm happy to not have used the one month because I was ill, but can't I just now start using a new template?

Most everyone in the forum are users like yourself. Unfortunately we can't help you or really advise you on billing issues. You need to reach out to Support.
