There is no sense in PNG image optimization before uploading to Squarespace?

I have a .PNG image, which i've optimized through Tinypng, before uploading it. After optimization it's size is 247KB according file info and the width is 1500px.


Uploaded it to Squarespace. And when it's is loaded on the site the size if the image with 1500px width is 757KB. Why?
