Change navigation text color to white

Hello

I am in the early stages of a website design for a client. At the first hurdle, I'm trying to change the text color on the navigation to white. I've tried a few things in developer tools but can't get it to change.

Any help would be appreciated..

With this case, you can change First Section Color. The header will change.

Or you can also add this to Design > Custom CSS

body.homepage .header-nav-item a {
    color: white !important;
}
