How to get rid of the PAUSE icon connected to – included in template – section background [image/video/art]

Getting CONFLICTING info from two different SqSp customer support agents... and what is written on the Section Background Art  help page.  I do NOT WANT the "pause" icon to appear.... if there is NO ANIMATION OR VIDEO appearing there!  I have chosen a STATIC already available in Edit...  STATIC, no-motion "art" image!

If you chose such and option... and the PAUSE button is STILL going to APPEAR... then that's CRAZY and amounts to a bug in the template. 

Anyone know what the REAL DEAL is?  I've spent way, way, WAY too much time on this.  😕
