Masonry Grid /Text and colour box hover overlay

I need to add hover text descriptions in the Masonry grid as well as a colour box set to 50% opacity.
Has this been discussed before?

Hi , yes but the text has an alpha fade along with the box colour overlay.
I want the text to remain full opacity (100).and be white.
Also, the link is not clickable when hovering over the text.
I want the whole block to be clickable when hovering over it.

#2. To make hover text clickable, add this to Design > Custom CSS
