Code blocks slowing down my editing pages

Hello, 

My site is 18 months old and unchanged but recently code blocks have been making the pages where I edit my Squarespace site very slow to load. I've contacted Squarespace and we've identified that it's the Amazon product links that I'm using in the code blocks to display Amazon product images that are causing the problem but they were unable to help further.

Here is an example of what I'm putting in the code blocks:

(I can't use Amazon blocks as they don't work in the UK where I'm based.)

Most of the time they don't impact the live site. It's just the editing pages. Every now and then the pages with Amazon image coding are slow but generally it's fine.

I've also had a massive drop in traffic since the May 22 Google algorithm update but that could be unrelated.

Any help would be gratefully received.
