I'm wondering how websites create "editorial-looking" borders like this that are full bleed/go the full height or width of the section? They tend to also have irregular layouts which I'm trying to achieve, but totally lost on how to go about this. I'm looking into flexboxes but I'm such a noob at CSS that I couldn't quite grasp the fundamentals. Example 1: https://jasminedigital.com/ (Squarespace site) Example 2: https://www.getglowbar.com/ (non-Squarespace) I'm specifically trying to recreate the "WHY GLOWBAR" sidebar on the 2nd screenshot, and the 2 side-by-side sections on the 3rd screenshot.
