Embedding a Site using the Embed Tool

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to embed a Square shop to a page on my site. I'm on the personal plan and am not interested in upgrading to be able to get full access to coding. The Embed Block claims it will embed any website. When I put it in it says "Successfully located" but then once I exit the editor it says "Enter a valid URL or code." For those wondering I did check and I put in a https: URL.

The Embed Block can only embed content that supports the oEmbed standard, for example images and videos. It cannot be used to embed a Square shop. For that you‘ll need to upgrade to a Business Plan (or above) because as the Personal Plan doesn’t support the code that you will need.

The best you can achieve without upgrading is to link to the Square store so that visitors leave your Squarespace site and go to the Square site instead.
