Assigning a 'default' variant for dropdown options

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://www.earthenpeople.com/

Hello all

I am going to sell interiors and lampshades and when a customer would want to buy a lampshade they are met with a series of dropdown options, such as diameter size, table or ceiling and pattern design.

I want squarespace to be able to assign or preselect one of the options so that when the customer goes to change the box dropdown that is called pattern type, the photo will automatically change to that pattern of the photo I have allocated for that pattern type. Also because all of the other dropdown variants already have something allocated.

I have trawled the forums and noted that it was mentioned that squarespace do provide an extension for this and I contacted the company. However they got back to me, and they said they can only provide this for websites on 7.0 and not 7.1. The company was SF digital.

Here is a URL for a lampshade with drop down options :

So please is there anything else I can do  ? To help me achieve this ? Hope my question is understood ok.

Thanks in advance

It appears that we've given you some incorrect information - sorry.

The Variant Pricing extension is available for both Brine templates on Squarespace 7.0 and Squarespace 7.1.

I'll follow-up with you directly (by email) to provide you with a free copy of the extension.
