Customer notifications - custom emails - system bug workaround

In case anyone spends time trying to get this to work:

Squarespace's general orders emails allows you to customize the email based on the type of product you are selling.

However, try typing anything into the boxes and nothing works (see attached screen)

After spending time trying to make this work on all browsers and more than an hour waiting for customer support, I found out this is a known bug.

Workaround: type your preferred text in a word document or other document, cut and paste it into the appropriate box.

Squarespace engineering knows about his and it is somewhere in their bug queue. Would be great if they could post a notice about this somewhere but that isn't apparently in the cards.
