Issues Adding Custom Widget To Home Page

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://newmvp.squarespace.com/

Currently in the process of revamping a website for a local home services website and need help installing a custom widget/button from Schedule Engine, which allows customers to book through an interactive pop-up. They have provided step-by-step instructions but it still will not work as intended.

I have included the following script tag in the header section in code injection (yes, I inserted the personalized API key)

<script
  data-api-key="the API Key provided by Schedule Engine"
  data-defer="true"
  id="se-widget-embed"
  src="https://embed.scheduleengine.net/schedule-engine-v3.js"
></script>

I then activated the CTA through the code block using the following code:

<button
  class="se-widget-button"
  type="button"
  onclick="ScheduleEngine.show()"
>
  Book Now!
</button>

The button shows up, but once clicked, nothing happens. I'm including a picture of what it should look like when clicked. Here is a tutorial video they sent as well. This needs to be something that is included on pretty much every page so any help is appreciated! Please let me know if I'm missing anything.
