Automatically or affixing a date to a product

Hi,

I sell tickets for my in-person paint class on my site and so far I've been successful without purchasing an additional product. When I signed up I was under the impression that squarespace would be able to handle what I needed it for without additional software being required.

Essentially I'd like to add a date to my product (my classes) so that when the event has passed people can't mistakenly purchase tickets.  I'd like the past events to go to a page where people can view them and I can upload images of paintings from the classes.

On a related note, I have inventory set but I'd like to add a button so people can see the number of tickets remaining for an event.

Thanks in advance for any help!

You cannot set a date on products, but you can achieve this by using a combination of an Events Page and your Store Page. Take a look at Selling Workshops.

You can do this using Limited Availability Labels. If you set the 'stock threshold' to 20, it will show the number of places available whenever there are 20 or fewer places available.

Let us know how you get on.

I couldn't find a way to make an event expire

See the events pages support guide. The event will ‘expire’ when the event end date/time is reached. You should ensure that the Show past events toggle is off so that past events are hidden.
