alexrest
It's a well-known best practice to use different styles for primary and secondary buttons (solid and outline respectively). This helps to promote the recommended action, and gives the UI a clearer hierarchy. It doesn't seem like Squarespace supports a secondary style for buttons. When I go to Site Styles > Buttons and change the style from Solid to Outline... all of the buttons on my site change. Is there a way to specify solid/outline style for just a specific button? Or does Squarespace not support this basic, fundamental design concept? Link to comment

As you didn't provide a link to your site I don't know if you're using 7.1 or an older Squarespace 7.0 template. 7.0 has the concept of small, medium and large buttons that you can style independently. You'll find details in the support guide Styling Buttons. Did this answer help? paul2009
Yes, this feature isn’t available on 7.1 yet 🥲. Until then you’ll need to use some Custom CSS. Can you point us towards a button you want to change? Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017. I value honesty, transparency, diversity and good design ♥. You stated that you wanted to have "primary and secondary buttons" with a solid and outline respectively, so some of them would need to be re-styled to change their default style. I'm not sure why it's relevant which buttons I want to style. I want to style any and all buttons, and (as I said in the original post) it's disappointing that Squarespace doesn't support such a basic, fundamental design principle. Link to comment
