On Squarespace there are two types of page - collection pages (blog, events, store/products) and non-collection pages (blank pages, page layouts). Only collection items include metadata - for example, blog posts have a date published and author name field. It is not possible to add metadata to non-collection pages like a blank page, but as a workaround you could add some blocks or some code to create something that looks like the author metadata.
