pacifictreefrog
I'm working on an events page. Squarespace has 2 options to show display the date: show "side tag" and show "with text". I prefer the look of the side tag, but it doesn't include the year of the event, which I find quite frustrating and confusing as I have events that are more than a year in the future--and also confusing when it comes to the past events to not know what year they happened. Is there any way to show both the "side tag" and "with text" (using custom css maybe?). Or does anyone have any other suggestions for how to include the year while also including the side tag? (Note: I don't want to include the year in the title because it looks awkward. I also don't want to include the year in the excerpt because then it will show up twice when you click on the individual event--unless there is a way to hide the date altogether when you click on the individual event so I can just display it in the excerpt? Is there a way to disable the option of clicking on the individual event?) I'm also wondering if there's any way to add a heading that says "Past Events" after the dividing line. I find the dividing line isn't obvious enough on either "side tag" or "with text" setting. Thanks! Link to comment

cschlaik
I'd also like to do this -- please let me know if you ever came up with a solution. Thanks! Link to comment
alexsmalley
@tuanphan I'd like to do something similar – is there a simple css injection? On the events page here... https://sensing-climate.com/events ...I've set the date to appear in line with the text, but would also like the date to appear using the date tag on the image (the cms only lets you select one option, not both). You'll see I also have previous events listed, and would like the date tag to display there too with the little cross through that denotes the event has passed (this happens automatically when the date tag is displayed, see image below). Any help would be amazing - thank you! Alex Link to comment

alexsmalley
This has worked perfectly, both for future and past events. Thanks so much @tuanphan! Alex tuanphan 1 Link to comment
