Helloparkerg Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Am I missing something, did hover states go away for Navigation in the 7.1 release? This is a sad miss given that it helps with usability.
tuanphan Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 What is hover states? Can you describe in more detail? Helloparkerg 1 Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.). Answer within 24 hours. Or send to forum message Contact Customer Care - Learn CSS - Buy me a coffee (thank you!)

You can see in the screenshot attached, that when hovering on "skate" from the mega menu there is a black bar that is displayed. There are zero themes offering that at 7.1

KEYdance Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Site URL: https://www.tastenweise.de (Version 7.1) Unfortunately my website does not have any underlines for links in the navigation bar. I would like to get this feature (which most users want to get rid off) on hovering with mouse and to see which link is active. The Squarespace support couldn't help due to my template (which name I do not recall). Is there a way to activate this underline in the navigation? I couldn't find any proper CSS-solution. Thank you!
paul2009 Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 (edited) @Helloparkerg @KEYdance On Squarespace 7.1, the active navigation link is underlined, but there is no hover effect that adds an underline to non-active links. Are you looking for something like this? Edited May 13, 2022 by paul2009 edited for clarity Helloparkerg 1 Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017. KEYdance Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Yes, correctly – neither the underline nor the animation are possible on my website.
paul2009 Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 @KEYdance I've put together a simple guide. Darya Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 @paul2009 Thank your for the linked tutorial! Would you have the tutorial extended to drop-down menu items?
