Images are not uploading when listing a new product

Whenever I'm trying to upload images for a new product sometime it loads and sometimes it doesn't. The message that pops up is "an unexpected error has occurred". Not sure what the issue is so some guidance in this would be super helpful. 

Hi, I'm having a similar problem with uploading images. Have you managed to sort your problem yet?

Yesterday and today (4th April) the upload feature doesn't seem to be working- see attached images. I can't even select images from my image library either so I've no idea what's going on!

I've cleared my cache etc and updated browsers yet this makes no difference. What's really weird is that I can't even upload images that I've already uploaded i.e are on my site already. Any help gratefully received!!

All my images are RGB, low res and most are under 500KB

You can see on the bottom image attached, the image I'm trying to upload on the bottom left tries to load and then at the last second, says  that 'something went wrong'....

Any help from tech people out there?

I am having exactly the same problem and it is on both PC and MacBook.

Or sometimes they appear to have been saved but when you go back in there is no sign of them.
