Video change on hover

hi All!

New commer to the forum and hoping i'm at the right place!

I do have 2 questions.

Firstly, on my website, i have a video in the background and a menu on top of it. On hover the menu i have thumbnails appearing, but i was wondering if there was a way to make the video in the background in black&white (or desaturated) so the focus is given to the thumbnails. Is that a possibility?

Second question is, would it be possible to instead of having thumbnails appearing on hover, these would replace the video in the background when on hover? then the video would continue where it started.

Try adding to Home > Design > Custom Css

  filter: grayscale(1);
  -webkit-filter: grayscale(1); 
  filter: grayscale(100%); 
}
