alwayslearning
Hello! My store currency was in Canadian dollar CAD, but I need to change our currency to USD. I updated all my payment accounts (Stripe and Paypal) default currency to USD. But Squarespace won't allow me to change the currency for my website. The currency option basically is greyed out - please see screenshot attached. Any ideas why? Thank you! Link to comment

Have you sold any gift cards since the site went live? It's not possible to change your store's currency after selling a gift card. Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017. I was going to move to another platform due to unable to change the currency, but I honestly LOVE squarespace designs and the ease of use, I wonder if I just "duplicate" my site and move everything over, I should be able to change the currency then? Any implications that I need to know ahead of time before duplicating the site? Will my google SEO data move over as well? Thank you so much for your help in advance! I don't know if Customer Care have any superpowers they can use to help in these circumstances, so it may be worth checking with them first. For example, if the gift card were refunded. Let us know how you get on. Regarding duplication, you'll lose a considerable amount of data. For all the details of what does and doesn't duplicate see Duplicating a site. I've been talking to customer care for two days and they don't have superpower to help me change the site currency because of that test gift card I ran through, which was unbelievable and hard to accept... I went ahead and duplicated the site this afternoon and luckily because my site was still relatively young, not too much data was lost. I still have some outstanding orders not fulfilled (due to lack of inventories), when I cancel my subscription on existing site, will it send email to customers to say I canceled their orders? I hope not ! Edited March 24, 2022 by alwayslearning Link to comment
