Adobe Typekit

Recommended Posts

Hello,

As I am occasionally needing central European signs (čšž) on several pages, I am breaking my head about how necessarily messed up that is on Squarespace 7 +

Although I am picking out a typeface that has support for these languages on Adobe Fonts, the same font selected in Squarespace does not.

OK, let's make a project in Adobe Fonts and activate the selected typeface with corresponding language subset or all glyph selected. Paste the Project ID into the External API keys (yes, the menu is still there). The font now appears in the list under TypeKit however it still does not want to render the mentioned glyphs.

What the hell! Do I really need to go upload a third instance of the same Typeface and call it via @font-face? Is there no better solution, as it was in the old Squarespace?

And why the hell do developers keep dumbing down their platforms?
