HELP - Impossible to delete folder !!!

Hello the Community,

I have recently subscribed to Squarespace and started to create my website.

Everything went well until I tried to delete a folder previously added (so-called "test" folder) = when I try to delete this folder, or even re-name it, I get the following the message "folder cannot be deleted".... And the folder cannot be removed.

I am completely stuck as this folder appears into header and cannot be removed.

I have even tried to duplicate the website - same issue happens in the new version.

Make sure the folder is empty, if not it can't be deleted.

Hi, dropping in here as I am having the same issue!
My folder is empty, I've tried everything and I keep getting that same message.

PS: I've moved the folder to Not Linked so it at least it is out of the header...

Our engineers are aware of an issue with Folders not deleting properly, and it looks like the same thing is happening here. Thanks for pointing this out.
 
For now, you could try using the Squarespace App to delete these folders, as that's been shown to work:

I have a menu item called "Gallery". I'd like to delete that entry but I get a popup that says the collection can't be deleted.

I'm not sure what the message really means and not sure of the cause.

Any support would be appreciated.

This is my first time using SquareSpace.

I can't reach anyone from Squarespace to get assistance on removing a folder from my website. I keep getting errors that say, "Couldn't Delete Collection."

I've tried creating a ticket using Squarespace's help desk system, which doesn't work. I've tried several browsers, and each time I try to create a ticket, the web-page refreshes, and does nothing.

I'm hoping someone here can help me figure this out. Thank you for your time and help. Attached is the issue I'm running into.

Is this folder showing up on your site Nav bar or somewhere else? Or it is only in config/pages?

The Squarespace App. will delete the empty and undeletable "Couldn’t delete collection Folder resource #..." phantom folder! 

still doesn't work for me. seems like a pretty basic piece of functionality to leave hanging for 2 year.

I can't delete pages or folders and the Squarespace app doesn't work for it either. The garbage icon is beside them, but does nothing when it's clicked and the 'delete page' option doesn't come up when I go into each page's settings (just duplicate and make homepage are options). It's also only one of my sites that's having this issue - I have multiple that I work on and all the others are fine.

Anyone have any other suggestions (besides going to support)?
