Why are Titles highlighted and clickable like a link in SS news pages?

Does anyone know why  news pages (SS 7.0) are clickable and highlighted  (in green on our website). 

Our heat maps continually show people try to click on them but they don't do anything (not good UX)

But maybe this also will send incorrect signals to search engine crawlers that the Title tag is a link?

To disable click + change color, add this to Design > Custom CSS

    color: black !important;

Thanks but this didn´t work. I can´t believe no-one else finds this annoying?

Hi, I added the code but I don´t see any difference:

the H1 is still  green and acting like a link (pointer changes  when hovering over it and also the shade). Any ideas?
