events not updating in summary block on homepage

I have been updating the events summary block in the Upcoming Classes for my client manually for at least half a year.  I noticed that the events summary block will update if I create a separate page with a summary block with the same content on it: truroyoga.com/events-test .  I've also tried to put the events summary block in its own section (not with the calendar) on the homepage but that doesn't correct the problem which seems to occur only on the homepage. I don't know what the problem is or if there is a solution.  I am wondering if there is some JS code that I can insert to force a reload the homepage. Thanks.
