autoplay on banner slideshow

Squarespace now has a confusing variety of Blocks and Sections that allow you to add a slideshow, but most of these are static and don't have an auto-advance option.

Whilst it is possible to add script to automate these static elements, you won't be able to do this when the website is on a Personal Plan; they don't allow scripts. In these circumstances you must use one of the built-in autoplay solutions.

For example, on Squarespace 7.1 you can add a Gallery Section and then enable Autoplay:
