How to keep background aligned with image blocks in all screen resolutions?

Hi! 

My page background shows a dotted line linking all the card images together.   See the picture below. 

How can I add custom css code so that the line stays still (going from one image to the other) in all screen resolutions?  There is no background on mobile page so this is just for desktop view).  Any help is greatly welcomed!

Here is what I want.  However, the background doesn't follow the proportions of the pictures when zooming in or our or with different screen resolutions.  The line moves and I don't want that.t I would like it to be
