How to send a customer an email that's not just an order notification.

I want to send a customer a personal email when they order; for instance letting them know the order is being printed and should be shipped within a few days.  All I can find are order notification emails without any way to actually write an email.  Am I missing something?

Order confirmation emails are typically used for this purpose. The wording can be customised to let customers know their order is being processed and will be shipped soon.

If you are looking for something different, can you explain a little more? 

Well, I'd like to add their name.  Also, it's kind of complicated, but I include shipping in the cost, then if it comes out less than I included, I refund the difference.  So I'd like to be able to explain things better and personalize them better.   I just need a way to customize each email that I send if I need to.  Is there a way to do this from anywhere else in squarespace or do I have to go through my own email each time?

It isn't possible to do this within Squarespace. To send individually customised emails you'll need to use your own email. 

Can I have customer notification emails come from my business email and not from a squarespace email?
