Single Background Image/Video Across Multiple Sections

Hello,

Does anyone know if I can have a single fixed background image/video across multiple sections? Currently I have to set a background image/video for each section which create ugly breaks in the page (see example below).

With image, I think you can use CSS code to achieve this.

With video, not sure...

The particular question I had above is contained in one of my membership areas, but a related question I have is: Can I make it so that the background video is a fixed size rather than scaling up based on the amount of content on the page?

I know I could easily recreate what's built within a single section, but I'm trying to figure out if it's possible for one bg image to span 2+sections before applying it to something more interesting"! : )
