Matt3dot0 Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 How do I ensure that Google search results have a specific quote under the link and breaks out the sub pages into individual links? I'm not even sure what this is called. Here is an example. Thanks!
edharris Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Hi @Matt3dot0 - these are called "Sitelinks" - they're generated automatically by Google based on what the algorithm thinks will be useful for a particular user's search term. This means that the set of sitelinks shown for your site may vary from one search to another depending on the search query the user entered. There's no way to directly control whether sitelinks are displayed, or what sitelinks are displayed. Generally having a clean, simple site architecture and navigation structure will help, but ultimately the algorithm will decide what to include. You can customize the SEO title and SEO description fields on pages on your site to encourage Google to use that copy in the sitelink titles and descriptions – this might be a good idea particularly for your description text on the four pages currently being shown as sitelinks.
