Issue with Squarespace deferly

Currently I have a api running on my site for a chatbot I work on. It mostly works yet will spit out errors on the more complicated responses stating that xhr was the issue in console. My code developer says it's due to squarespace deferly loading scripts. We don't have control over that... ^^' Is there anyway around this or am I going to have to look elsewhere for site development.
