Custom customer login needed

Hello,

I have a client site that will start selling products online.  Before the customer submits an order they want to either have the customer login to an existing customer account or force them to create a customer account.   The client does not want the general public to view their pricing without a customer account. Basically the customer adds items to the shopping cart and when they click the Check Out button it takes them to a page like this where they have to login or register for a new customer account.   https://www.ultradent.com/register#/

How can we go about doing this?  Our products page is this: https://www.infinix.com/all-products

Thank you,

Stephanie

Squarespace isn't designed to work this way so custom code would need to be written. Can you explain why customers will need an account? Is it to prevent them seeing prices or something else?

Correct.  These products are only sold to dentists that have a valid dental license.  They are not for the general consumer. The client does not want anyone who isn't registered as a customer to view the cost.  When they go to register they will have to supply the their dental license number and that will be verified.  But in a nutshell, yes, the cost should not be viewable until they either login to their existing customer account or are forced to create a new customer account.  See sample screenshot.

I realize this might be custom code and that's ok just asking if it can be done.
