gallery-page CSS to disable hover effect for gallery page in Squarespace 7.0 index page

Hi to all the CSS gurus out there!

I am struggling to find a way to remove the hover for the slideshow gallery page section I have on an index page on my website (https://www.joannetapodicreative.com.au/branding-websites). It is the section that shows an automatically transitioning slideshow with mock-ups of website designs in laptop, iPad and iPhone. 

As soon as you go to use the arrows to flick through the slideshow manually there is an opaque hover that occurs and essentially dulls out the images, this is especially noticeable on those images that are darker.

Can someone please help with a code that can disable this hover effect, try as I might I can't find anything that does the trick.

Do you mean that you want to disable the effect when hovering the arrow?
