Hi,

In case my client has short pages, without much content, how to keep the footer consistently at the bottom of the viewport and the same height across desktop to tablet?

Right now, the footer is aligned top to the bottom of the page content, and the bottom of the footer extends it's background color to the bottom of the browser window.

The layout on desktop is the same as one on tablet. Do you mean set the same on mobile?
