Squarespace 7.1 was launched in July 2019 and no migration options have been offered by Squarespace yet. You can export/import certain types of content using third party tools or an expert, but it is not possible to migrate any of the customer or order data. About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. stefansegers
Hi Paul, thanks for the update about the upgrade. The only tools I have found is export blog articles to Wordpress and from there import into a brand new 7.1 website? Maybe there are more tools to copy for instance pages to 7.1? Link to comment
paul2009
Take a look at the Chrome extensions offered by Squarewebsites. The PRO Tool is great for copying content. Bear in mind that some features (like index pages) don’t exist on 7.1 so some manual rebuilding may be necessary, but it takes the hard work out of migrating collections. As an example, I used it to copy a blog of 547 posts from a Squarespace 7.0 site to a new Squarespace 7.1 site this morning. It took nearly three hours but the new blog posts are all completely intact, including block structures, text, images and so on. No tweaks are necessary. SolutionBuilder
As a web developer, I cannot believe that SS did not make it easy for user to migrate from one version to another. Seems like a major misstep on their end. Talk about a turn off and a good way to lose users. FLCwebmaster 1 Link to comment
