Single Image Background?

Is it possible to have a single image background across multiple sections? Or do I have to move all my content into one section and just make the image really tall?

I created one long image in illustrator (long-gradient) then exported them into 4 separate sections (section1-section4) and now I am trying to line them up so they look like one image but that is making me pull my hair out because it still won't align.

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

How about taking the four images and stich them together and then uploading just one image as the background? There is software to do that here:
