Implications of having both a site title and logo in the header

I am curious as to why Squarespace does not allow displaying both the logo and site title. I am guessing this has SEO implications ... ?

You can get around it with custom css, but should you?

What is best practice when you want both a logo and a title displayed the header?

I usually add title, then use CSS to add logo or vice-versa.
