bethanyv
Site URL: https://www.bethanyillustrates.com Hi there, I am concerned about customer privacy. Is there any way to not include personal information like their addresses in the order confirmation e-mail they receive? I'd like them just to be able to see it when they log-in to their account on my Website. Thanks, Bethany www.bethanyillustrates.com Link to comment
sruss76
this is standard practice on e-commerce sites. when you order from sites like Etsy, personal information like your address is in the order confirmation e-mail you receive, isn't it? Link to comment
bethanyv
Thanks for your reply, I think Amazon doesn't send you your personal info by e-mail. Not sure what the standard practice is. It would be nice to have the option. 🙂 Bethany Link to comment
sruss76
well, i know that when i order from online stores, the email confirmation/receipt i get usually includes my billing and shipping info. that is what i mean by standard practice. in any case, if you go into your Squarespace account to edit email templates, you won't be able to edit the part the has the customer info for the order confirmation email that is sent out to people who buy from you. this part has the billing and shipping info - name, address, phone number (if you require this) the works. Your customers want to be sure that their payment went through and their order is correct. They want to be reassured that the delivery address, items purchased, and the amount paid are all correct. This is particularly important for first-time customers who may require additional reassurance. For this reason, these elements cannot be removed or edited. You can add additional text elements but order notifications will always include the name and address that the customer provided. To make a feature request, contact Customer Care.
