how to insert Simple Animated text for professional beginner

Hi, I am new to codes - Trying to add a simple animated text to my 'about us' static page with external CSS codes. My site is  Flatiron Template, so version 7.

Any step by step pointers or video links would be appreciated.

Rebecca Grace & InsideTheSquare videos are excellent which I followed, but the text remains static.
