Line Height Issue When Using Custom Font

Hello, I'm trying to add a custom font for the first time via css, however, I must be doing something incorrect. The font upload worked and I can see it, however, there is an extreme amount of blank vertical height above the font which sends the actual text about 2500px down the page from where the text block is. In the first screenshot I've highlighted where the font should be; just above the 'sub text here'.

Any advice is much appreciated.

The other weird thing is that the font shows up correctly on my mobile phone when using Chrome.
