So Frustrated

Recommended Posts

This has been so frustrating. For the last several days I've been trying to edit blog posts on my site and as soon as I click an image to edit it, Squarespace redirects me to my lock screen  (I currently have my website set to private as I'm doing a major re-design). In short, Squarespace is not allowing me to edit my own site. I've checked all my settings and done everything Squarespace suggests to fix the problem, but I'm still not having any luck. Does anybody know what this is happening? Some important information that might be helpful:

1. I'm using MacOS Monterey Version 12.0.1

2. The browser I'm using is Safari Version 15.1

Thanks in advance!

Please provide a site-wide password. Also if you could post a screenshot of the image (as much of the screen as possible) you are clicking on before being taken to the lock screen that might give us a little more context. Are you using custom code to alter how blog image links work?

Squarespace seems to have changed this recently. If you click a photo to edit, it will immediately take you to the linked url. You now have to click near the upper left edge (near "Image") and wait for the editing pencil or trash can to appear. You can't miss by a fraction of an inch. For the record, I'm finding this process extremely frustrating as well.
