Summary block - "Read more" link is inactive

Hello, I'm trying to set up a blog to appear on a summary block titled "Selected essays," and another below it, "Recent translations."

When I click either on the titles or on the "read more" links they are inactive. In short, I can't seem to link the blog content to the "read more" and the title of the article.
