colin.irwin
Google is transitioning its Analytics offering over to a new structure that has, among other things, a different Javascript call to post analytics data. Can this be supported via a Squarespace configuration rather than needing to insert custom code in a template? I'm Colin Irwin aka silvabokis. I've been a Squarespace designer & developer since 2013. I remember when it was all wild prairies round these here parts. 🐃🤠 Advice I give on here is free, though I may sometimes post an affiliate link or promote something I've written. That reminds me.. ..you might want to check out my Squarespace template finder or have a look at my other Squarespace tips Speaking of tips, 💲I've got a tip jar that you're welcome to throw a few quid into if you think I've helped you. Galen Anderson
Bump. Google analytics are no longer in beta and are now requiring all new pages to be universal. When should we expect to see that implemented on Squarespace Architecture student, technology enthusiast. Link to comment

Social Media Wilmington In
Google Analytics Universal tracking code is a MAJOR competitive advantage for commercial websites, website builders, media managers, bloggers and social media management. THIS IS MUST in the 1st quarter of 2015 to become one of the strongest CMS on the market. Hell I would pay an extra $100 year for this option. Link to comment

cburdis
Hey all! While we don't offer Universal Analytics as part of our official Google Analytics integration, it has been possible to use Universal Analytics with your Squarespace site since it came out of beta. We have a section in our Google Analytics guide which details the steps you need to take in order to use Universal Analytics with your Squarespace site. You just need to copy/paste the code provided by Google into the Header Injection area of your site manager, and remove the standard Google Analytics Account Number (if you had one added). Everything is explained here if you want to take a look: Using Google Analytics with Squarespace Hope this helps! Link to comment

MarkAttack
Hi cburdis, Quick question. If we do as you suggest — add the Universal Analytics code via Header Injection and remove the standard GA Account Number that we had before — will we lose any of the historical GA data that we had gathered earlier? Thank you! Link to comment
