Auto Video Play Code suddenly broken

Does anyone have experience with getting video to auto play on a Mercer template?

I had my video in a Gallery and used a custom code (see below) which had worked fine for many many months.  However, now it doesn't work. I've not changed anything in the code nor on the backend at vimeo. 

Has anyone else had issues with this as well?
