Formatting a store with Product details on home page...

Hello All-

Brand new Squarespace guy here, just switched over after a decade of experience with Divi.  .  

I'm building a simple online store and using the Ventura template, unless there's a better solution.   This is what I need:

-  One page site.  The landing page will be the store with no other pages.  I know how to do this.

-  Each item for sale should have extensive details on the home page. The customer should not have to click on the item image to get detailed information.  

-  Ideally, the "purchase now" or "add to cart" button will be on the landing page under the detailed info and not on a product page.    

I'm trying to prevent the customer from leaving the landing page until ready to check out.

Is there a recommended template for this -or- a hack to make it happen?  Many thanks for your expertise.
