Change background color dropdown navigation

I'm trying to change the background color of the dropdown menu from the main navigation for Squarespace 7.0. I feel like it should be straightforward but can't for the life of me figure it out

background-color: #_YOUR_COLOR_;
}

I think you should be able to change the background of the folder drop-down with the code above.

Try this (Design > Custom CSS)

div.subnav {
    background-color: red !important;
}
